On the surface, it sounds simple: “Just connect me to the right people. It’s a done deal …” I hear it all the time.
But in reality, meaningful business does and cannot grow from introductions alone. My 25+ years in the commercial world have taught me that creating a valuable connection needs context, trust, positioning, timing, a mutual benefit, and an opportunity.
That is why I don’t make shortcuts There are No “Ready-Made” Solutions . The work is always tailored to the specific business, their product, their situation and growth ambition.
I love taking up the challenge. Every new project feels to me like a new adventure. I love the creativity I put into in when I open doors and build bridges, and I love the rewards my clients get when they feel confident about moving forward with clarity, strategy, and direction.
It’s not magic. I literally live inside those markets and prepare the ground before our first conversation I bring a deep understanding of the markets, people, timing, culture, opportunity, and I see and understand what others don’t see . I see the opportunities and understand the risks.
And because of that, I save my clients something priceless: Time and Energy. in research. Analysis, preparation, strategic thinking. I save the money and unnecessary mistakes. Because they do not have to spend time familiarizing with the market and go through the expansion blindly.
To give you an idea of the invisible work that I do with the people who choose to trust me with their vision, let me take you on reverse engineering journey from the moment everything is ready to be suggested to a potential client all the way back to even before I met them
Before that…
Step 6 I wrote them that I have something interesting to share with them. Set up the first meeting and planned its structure.
Before that…
Step 5 I put time and effort in nurturing the relationship to keep the contact warm and alive by sending them follow-ups notes , gifts and holiday cards. Shared valuable knowledge that would be of interest
Before that…
Step 4 I had a meeting. I took them out to dinners, lunches, coffees brainstorming session . online calls and walks. These are precious moments I invested to get to know each other better and build trust.
Before that…
Step 3 I made the first contact to establish the initial connection.
Before that…
Step 2 I prepared for meetings. I invested my time on reading about interesting contacts, listening to them, watching their content, responding to their ideas, attending their lectures and conferences, observing.
Before that…
Step 1 I took the time to understand the market: the stakeholders , the competition consumer behaviour, language, and trends. Travelled up conferences and networking events. Analysed the information. Looked for patterns to understand the context and connect the dots
Final Thought
So yes . I absolutely believe in providing concrete connections. But I believe even more that through the invisible work those relationships mature into the sale or the partnership. These steps are an integral part of my work when I help a company expand into or within Europe. And they are valuable!
